A Lake Providence, Louisiana, native, I began raising and breeding dogs and horses while in high school. After college, I returned to Lake Providence with my wife where we raised our son and two daughters. In my spare time, I continued to work with and train mules, horses, and dogs; 90% of the horses and mules I have trained, I bought as a weanling or raised from a foal. Now retired from farming, I have devoted my attention full-time to what has been my hobby my whole life. I believe that good foals come from good mares, and I have chosen my mares over the years based on these essential qualities: good disposition, athletic ability, smooth gait, and good looks. I work with my foals from birth to ensure their dam’s disposition is carried through.

What’s going on around the farm
Since retiring from farming in 2020, I spend my time raising mule colts, raising cattle, raising Blue Lacy dogs, keeping bees, and enjoying my grandchildren.
